I was having a discussion today with my buddy Andrew Kolyvas and we were talking about an affiliate for Mike’s Main street marketing machines giving $1000 cash back as his bonus. This is a horrible and dumb idea from a marketing standpoint.
All he is doing is devaluing Mike’s product. and all that is going to do is make the other person the value the product and I guarantee you that affiliate will see more refunds than I will. The reason for that is because I’m adding value by helping the customer reaches the end goal which is to build a business.
If they were worried about money, then they were not right to be in the first place. I want the people who want to succeed because when they succeed refund rates will be low, if any at all.
Another reason that you don’t give cash back as an affiliate like this is because if the product owner wanted the product to be worth that amount that’s what they would’ve done. They made it the value that they did because they knew that’s what it was worth. To me, it looks like a slap in the face the product under city your product is only worth two grand so I’m giving back a thousand dollars to invite anyone buys it.
If it’s not understood by now the goal is to add value as an affiliate. It is the way to make more sales, get less refunds and show your own value to the marketplace.
But then again this is just me talking and I could be wrong. I just know that if any of my affiliates were offering cash back on one of my products or services I would not be happy about it and I would consider it disrespectful.

I'm surprised they're even allowed to offer that. I would think TG would not allow it because it does exactly what you mentioned. Plus getting stuff is fun! (I should know first hand soon). It seems like cash back would attract only the curious, not a good affiliate strategy at all.
