Tamarindo Surfing: Gotta Love It!

I first experienced Tamarindo surfing in early June 2010 when I came to Costa Rica with my family as a celebration for my sister’s graduation. It was the best vacation I’ve ever taken. And that’s saying a lot.

The waves are consistently here every day. The best thing is that when you come to Tamarindo, surfing is all around you. This entire community is a little surf village. It all revolves around Tamarindo surfing.

Coming on a Tamarindo surfing trip is cool because there are so many breaks right around the area. You got Playa Grande, Avellanes, Negra, Langosta and tons of secret breaks within minutes of the area. It’s a treasure chest of great surf breaks.

Here’s a Tamarindo surfing video I took with my Kodak Playsport in mid August of some Tamarindo surfing. There are always a lot of people surfing in Tamarindo and they always have so much fun.

I have fun just sitting on the shore and watching most the time. Just being there and experiencing first hand all the joy brought to people from Tamarindo surfing makes me so happy.

If you’d like to see more videos that I make here is my Tamarindo Surfing YouTube Channel. And I’ve also got a Costa Rica Surfing YouTube channel I’m building up.

And if you love surfing as much as I do, check out this surf club I’m working on.

Hi:
came across your site by chance. Would love to chat with you about my son a Jr. in college in va – we’ve been to CR twice – he wants to live in CR this summer and work and surf. Please reply to me — love your knowledge and great thrill of the surf in Tamarindo!!

Of course I’ll talk to you about him coming here. Don’t know everything there is to know, but learned a lot over the last couple of months. If he plans to work for a business here, he should think twice.

Going to teach Couchsurfingori how to surf next week. Then he’ll love surfing here as much as I do.

How can you sit and watch, when you could be OUT THERE? Ugh! Torture! :-)
