The One Step Most Online Businesses Ignore

in Time Management Tips

Doing web design gives me the opportunity to work with many Internet Marketing professionals that are getting ready to do launches of their new products. Most have spent weeks and even months putting together a product to sell to their respective markets.

But I have noticed one very common occurrence when working with these marketers. Even after putting together their product, they still lack a proper time table and deadlines. This can be absolutely deadly to their business. We all know that a project will take as long as time allows. Without very stiff deadlines, projects that should have taken a few days will take a week.

When working on any project for your online business, it is very important to plan accordingly and set doable, but stern time tables that the work should be accomplished. Start off with the overall goals of the project and then break them down into doable smaller tasks. Prioritize these smaller tasks and set yourself deadlines and don’t, under any circumstance, let yourself break that deadline. Pull an all nighter if you have to, but don’t take that deadline lightly.

I hope this helps you with whatever it is that you are working on. I would love to hear what you think about this post or if you have any great advice on how to stick with set deadlines, please share them below. If you don’t have anything to share, but you liked the post, please share it on whichever social sites you are apart of. I am sure your friends will appreciate it.

No problem David! I just noticed that every time that I ask when a project needs to be done, the answer is always, soon or whenever you can. That isn’t a good answer. I want to hear a specific date and time. Preferably down to the minute. Let’s me know that not only are they serious, but I have a real tangible deadline to meet. Plus, gives me kind of a rush.

Great Point,
Creating Strict Time-Tables and Deadlines may just be the little extra thing that can differenciate a business from another in terms of deliverability and the likes.

Love this One!

I’ve learned that it takes time and experience to set reasonable deadlines. The more you do it the better you get. Great post man.

I agree Adam. The more you do a specific task the better you are at judging how long it should take. The problem is when people say, “Oh, I don’t know how long it should take.” Even if they make a deadline that they don’t hit, they will still get done with the project earlier then if they had no goal at all. Thanks for the comment bro!

I do deadlines but I suck at making them true.

When I am writing/recording a course I’m just not that good at working on it. I need a holiday to make a product get finished. I don’t know why. That’s just how it is.

I enjoy writing blog posts etc. in weekdays, but products in weekdays just isn’t me.

Having goals and sticking to them is probably one of the most biggest challenges that entrepreneurs share.

If you make goals and stick to them you will succeed. Timetables and schedules help a lot in finding the time to complete the stuff you have planned

You got that right. Goals are good, but if they never get done, they are just as useless as tits on a boar hog.
