Mozilla Firefox is a browser like Internet Explorer, but way better. Firefox has a community of application developers that strive to make your browsing experience better no matter what you like to do on the internet.

Personally, most of my time on the computer is spent on marketing and web design based tasks. As I pointed out in my last post, saving time is of big importance to me and Firefox addons make it easy for me to automate certain tasks while browsing or researching.

Here are my 9 Favorite Firefox Addons for Marketing and Web Design:

LastPass Password Manager

This is a fantastic password manager! It saves passwords, fills them in and can even automatically log you in. It also allows you to prepopulate form fields which allow you to fill in sign up forms with a single click. And then the best thing is that it backs up all your info in their system, giving you the ability to easily share a password account with a virtual assistant without them ever knowing your passwords. The possibilities for the addon are endless. Click here to find out more about it.

OnlyWire – Social Networking Auto-Submitter

Onlywire is great tool for submitting bookmarks quickly and they have add an addon to Firefox that makes it an even quicker process. If you want to know more about Onlywire as a service, here is a good post on Onlywire. If you don’t have a method to automate your social bookmarks, you just found one.

StumbleUpon

StumbleUpon is one of the largest social bookmarking sites on the internet and if you aren’t using it yet, what in the world are you waiting for? Huge traffic potential and now with the StumbleUpon Addon, it’s easy as ever to use and explore with. I often use it to stumble through sites and find very good things this way. This is a must have!

Firebug

A must have addon for developers and designers. Firebug gives you the ability to look at the code a whole new way and see the area that you are looking for. Check out the screenshot to the right and get it if you are looking at site code a lot.

SeoQuake SEO Extension

Do you research SEO competition using Firefox? If so, you really should have this addon installed. SeoQuake is mines the website’s SEO information like backlinks, internal SEO, Page Rank, Age, Indexed Pages and more into an easy to read and use format. No need to look on yahoo and google anymore.

MeasureIt

MeasureIt gives you the ability to measure in pixels the size of elements on a webpage without have to take a screen shot. If you work with websites and designers, this addon could greatly help your ability to explain and see what size elements you need designed.

NoDoFollow

This addon makes it possible to see whether links are DoFollow links or NoFollow links by highlighting them red when nofollow and blue when dofollow. This comes in handy when trying to find out whether blog comments and user generated links will be dofollow or not. Check out NoDoFollow here.

ScreenGrab

ScreenGrab is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a fully functional screen capture addon specifically for firefox. There are times when you want to save the screen for future reference or to show someone what you see. This makes it easy to do.

FireFTP

And last but not least, FireFTP is my FTP client of choice. Easy to use interface and easy to setup makes this FTP client my favorite one. On top of that, you don’t have another program draining your RAM.

Hope this post gave you some good new resources to use with Firefox. If there are any that I didn’t mention that you think is important, please share as we always need more ways to save time and make our jobs easier.
