Online Marketing and Blog Tool Kit

This online marketing and blog tool kit is a collection of tools and services that I currently use in my own online business.

Setting Up the Blog

Domain Names

The hands down best domain registry is NameCheap.com. They provide one of the easiest to use domain managers. They also process new domain and changes very quickly (Important in my business). Plus, they give you a free year of WhoIs Guard, which protects your personal information from being in the WhoIs directory.

Hosting

– My current hosting company is HostGator. They offer a very simple blog installation platform and their support is great! They are easy to get a hold of and help you out every step along the way. The price is good too, especially if you pay for a year up front. If you Get HostGator Hosting through this link and pay for a year in advance, I’ll give you a a half off a Twitter Design.

WordPress Tools

Premium WordPress Theme

The WordPress theme that I use on all my blogs and client blogs is the Thesis Theme from diythemes.com. There are a few key reasons that I love this theme so much. The biggest reason is that it is the easiest theme to customize that I have ever found. You can do so much with it. Another big reason is how clean the code is for Thesis making it better for visitors and search engines alike. And then you have the help and support of the entire thesis community in their private forums that can help with almost anything. What can I say? I’m a sucker for good support.

WordPress Automatic Blogging Software

There are a few automatic blog content generation tools out there, but my favorite is Andrew Hansen’s Firepow. He provides all the support you would ever need to setup a niche blog that practically runs itself. The only thing that you have to do is follow his 7 steps to success guide and drive some traffic. It makes niche blogging entirely too easy.

SEO and Traffic Tools

Keyword Research

There are free tools like Google Keyword Tool, but the only tool I use for my keyword research and complete SEO research is a program called Market Samurai. It’s the most complete SEO research software on the market in my opinion. And their video tutorials are very helpful in getting the most out of this very indepth research tool. You can actually try it for free by using the link and signing up.

Blog Comments

Blog comments are a great way to build one way related links that are good for seo and traffic into any blog or site. The best tool for finding good relevant blog posts to comment on is Blog Comment Demon. If you want to know more about this tool, I put together this Blog Comment Demon Review video that explains it for you.

Systems Building

Project Management Software

Before I started using Deskaway for my project management, I felt like all I was doing was spinning my wheels. It wasn’t until I organized my projects into tasks that I understood what needed to be done and in what order. It has helped me also by setting up templates for repeated projects, which saves me tons of time getting new projects up and running. And if you outsource (like outsourcing your web design), you absolutely have to have some sort of project management system like Deskaway.

This is my blog tool kit that I use to build my blogs. If you think there is a tool that I should check out or if you have any questions, please let me know below.
